Herbert S. “Herbie” Ruth, Jr., 82, of Wescosville, died May 10, 2016.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Herbert Sr. and Katherine (Mest) Ruth.

He worked for Royal Furniture, Emmaus, for many years doing furniture repair.

He last worked for Public Storage before retiring in 2004.

He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

His greatest joy was his country music, singing with various musicians in the Lehigh Valley and also his own Crystal Countryside.

He loved singing on stage, playing guitar and performing for the audience.

He was known on the Health and Happiness Show CWTAP on Sunday afternoons talking or singing a tune live on the show.

Survivors include his wife; son David and his wife Lynn of Allentown; nieces and nephews
