Field day events at Harry S Truman Elementary are rescheduled

Due to the consistent rain we have had, many Salisbury Township events have been postponed, including annual field day activities at Harry S Truman Elementary School. The new field day for kindergarten through second grade students is May 18. Field day for students in third through fifth grades is scheduled May 25. Please make sure your children are dressed appropriately for outdoor activities on those days. The kids all look forward to the outdoor fun.

HST will host leadership day May 20. Starting 1:30 p.m., visit and see what these students have been working on for the end of the year.

The Salisbury Music Association is sponsoring a designer purse and basket bingo May 22. The event will be held at Salisbury Middle School. Doors open noon and games begin 1 p.m. There is a cost. The event will include various games, a Chinese auction, door prizes and refreshments. For more information, email salisburymusic01@gmail.com.

There will be a coffee and conversation with the school administrators event 6 to 6:45 p.m. May 23 in the school district administration building, 1140 Salisbury Road. RSVP to Mary Bishop at 610-797-2062, ext. 1000 if planning to attend.

The next curriculum and technology meeting will be 7 p.m. May 23 and will follow the coffee and conversation session in the school district administration building.

All Salisbury Township School District schools will be closed May 26 through 30 in for the Memorial Day holiday. Schools will reopen May 31. Take time during this holiday weekend and any and all festivities to remember those who have fought for our freedoms and are no longer with us.

It is also almost time for the annual ice cream festival at HST. This year the festival will be held June 4. Volunteers are needed.

The Franko Farm yard waste drop off site will be open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 24 and 28.
