Charles L. “Yobbie” Sheckler, 81, formerly of Orefield, died May 10, 2016, in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown, where he resided.

He was the husband of the late Mildred L. (Peters) Sevane Sheckler.

Born Feb. 24, 1935, in Slatington, he was the son of the late William F. and Florence V. (Zellner) Sheckler.

He was a security guard at Wells Fargo and Pinkerton Security Companies for 12 years before retiring in 1997.

His survivors include children Dwaine Sheckler, Theresa Sheckler; siblings LeRoy Sheckler, Irene Kulp, Charlotte Waylen; several nieces and nephews.
