Very Reverend Theodore J. Mikovich, 70, of Emmaus, died May 5, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Joanne (Marouchoc) Mikovich. Born in Nesquehoning, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Goida) Mikovich.

He received a master’s degree in education from East Stroudsburg University and a master’s degree in applied orthodox theology from the University of Balamand.

He was a member of St. Paul Antiochian Orthodox Church where he served as pastor from 1999 to 2009, retiring as Archpriest. Previously he was employed as a teacher in the Salisbury Township School District for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Gregory and his wife Katherine and Christopher and his wife Jillian; sister, Dorothy Macenka; grandchildren, Estella and Dylan.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the church’s memorial fund.
