The Northampton Area Historical Society will open the Siegfried Railroad Station to visitors 1-4 p.m. May 15. The station, a museum housing artifacts from the Northampton area, is located on West 21st Street (Route 329).

The museum has permanent exhibits and new exhibits each year. This year’s best exhibit is the new wood floor in the former ladies’ waiting room. The concrete floor that had been there previously had to be removed because it was compromising the integrity of the building. The new floor was financed through a grant from the Northampton County Hotel Tax program and society funds obtained through the society’s fundraisers and donations from the public.

There is no charge to visit the station, but donations are accepted.

Refreshments will be served at this first open house of the year.

For more information, call 610-262-4748 or 610-262-8198.
