Neil R. Schwartz, 82, of Emmaus, formerly of Macungie, died May 6, 2016. He was the husband of Lucille K. (Miller) Schwartz, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage. Born in Macungie, he was the son of the late Herbert T. and Lillian (Beitler) Schwartz.
He worked for Air Products for 35 years and for APD Cryogenics for 10 years, retiring in 1997.
He was an active member of Solomon’s U.C.C., Macungie.
He was a life member of the Macungie Fire Co., Macungie VFW and the Macungie Historical Society.
He was a member of the Mercantile Club of Emmaus and volunteered for Das Awkscht Fescht for 40 years and also volunteered for the Macungie Flower Garden.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Dr. Scott A. and his wife Elizabeth, of San Antonio, Texas, Terry J., of Breinigsville, and Daniel T., of Emmaus; daughter, Linda K. wife of Jerome Deitz, of Center Valley; brother, Thomas, of Lansdale; grandchildren, Nicholas and Benjamin, Angela Pospischil, Terry J. Jr., Ryan Ame and Adam Deitz; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brooke, Max, Malory and Brynlee.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. May 12 in Solomon’s Union Cemetery, Macungie. Arrangements were made by the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
