Elsie E. Everhard, of Lower Macungie Township, died May 4, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of Amandus J. Beil and Carrie Heckman Beil. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Everhard.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Allentown.

She worked for General Electric for 33 years. After retiring, she volunteered for many years at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie L. Shuryn, of Allentown; son, Larry R. and his wife Kathie, of Jackson Township, Ohio; six grandchildren, Terri, David, Lisa, Michelle, Aaron and Stephen; 13 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a baby daughter; four brothers and three sisters.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Pathways at Country Meadows in Allentown for their kindness, support and wonderful care to Elsie.
