Thomas R. Murdock Jr., 77, of Alburtis, died April 2, 2016, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Elaine (Fehnel) Murdock. They were married 35 years. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Charles and Mae (Thomas) Gibson.

He served in the U.S. Navy and Army during the Vietnam War.

He was past treasurer for the VFW Post 8282 Breinigsville.

He was a construction supervisor for Air Products and Opus for many years.

He enjoyed doing woodwork and was an avid reader.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Thomas Cannon, Charles Rex and his wife Pam; daughters, Donna, wife of Barry Hertzog, Elizabeth, wife of Albert Pereira; grandchildren Dan, Kali, Alex, Lauren, Bradley and Lindsey.
