Thomas E. Kistler, Sr., 77, of Lower Macungie Township, died at home April 25, 2016. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Albert and Bernice (Jones) Kistler.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

Before retiring, in 1998, he worked 26 years in the receiving department of Kraft Foods.

He was a lifetime member of Ray A. Master, Post 217, American Legion, Topton. He belonged to VFW Post 9264 Macungie, Emmaus Fire Company and the Alburtis Rod and Gun Club.

He was a peacetime Navy veteran.

He is survived by Nancy A. Rex, with whom he resided; son, Thomas E. Jr. and his wife Karen; daughter, Sharol Ann; brother, Richard G. and his wife Theresa; sister, Beth Ann; three grandchildren, Nicole, wife of Raphael Arce, Nicolas and Kayleigh; one great-grandson, Dominic.
