Ralph L. Geiger, 97, of Orefield, died on April 30, 2016, at home. He and his wife Clara R. (Werley) Geiger were married 74 years last November.
Born in Orefield, he was a son of the late Adam and Flossie (Haas) Geiger.
He worked for the former Trojan Powder Co. for 43 years.
A member of Morgenland Church, he sang with the choir for several decades.
He was an avid bowler all of his life, bowling until he was 95.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons the Rev. Sterling R. of Orefield, and Sherwood and wife, Marge, of Johns Creek, Ga.; sister Myrtle, wife of Earl Horning, of Cetronia; grandchildren Matthew, Phillip, Christine, Kimberly and Jennifer; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews,
He was predeceased by brothers Paul, Leon and Ernest; and sisters Lillian Rupp, Verna Werley and Ida Kale.
His services will be at 7 p.m. May 5 at Morgenland Church, 3120 Weidasville Road, Orefield, with the Rev. Sally D. Zelker officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. May 6 at Morgenland Cemetery.
