James D. “Jesse” Waidelich, 72, from Kempton, died April 27, 2016, in the presence of his family in his home.
He and his wife Betty (Stoudt) Waidelich celebrated their 44th wedding aniversary last September.
Born in Lynn Township, he was a son of the late Joseph M. and Mary C. (Lenhart) Waidelich.
He was employed since 2000 by Five Points Cricket Farm, Kempton.
Prior to that, he was employed by the former Quaker Maid Kitchens, Leesport.
He was a member of Jacob’s Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township; the Kempton Fire Company and the Kempton Rod and Gun Club.
An avid hunter, he was a member of the NRA and National Wild Turkey Federation.
A 1964 gradute of Northwestern Lehigh High School, he faithfully and honorably served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Donna S., wife of Darryl F. Graff, and Lynn A. Waidelich; and grandchildren Kayla R. and Alexander D. Graff, all of Kempton.
He was predeceased by a brother Paul.
