Heidelberg Church seeking donations of baked goods

Joyful giving! Donations of any kind of baked goods made with chocolate or potluck desserts for the Allentown Soup Kitchen may be dropped off 6-7 p.m. on May 9 in Heidelberg Church’s Fellowship Hall.

According to the church’s soup kitchen Assistant Coordinator Linda Hausamann, 154 hot meals were served recently to the hungry and homeless at the soup kitchen.

The meal consisted of barbecue chicken, mashed potatoes, tossed salad, applesauce and delicious desserts from faithful Heidelberg bakers.

Special thanks to the volunteers of the day: Pastor Karen Yonney, Sheri Hausman, Robin Koch, Shirley Boger, Doris and Richard Koenig, Eleanor and Ron Klevenhagen, Linda Hausamann and Howard Truitt.

To find out more about helping at the soup kitchen, call Linda at 610-767-5282 or Howard at 610-682-4831.
