The Laurel Fire Company in Cementon will be holding a summer sizzler raffle 2-6 p.m. May 22 at the fire hall, 5114 Third St.

The purchase of a raffle ticket includes refreshments and a meal during the raffle.

There are 15 prizes on the main ticket, including cash prizes. Additional raffles for meats and grilling necessities will be added throughout the day.

Mark your calendars: Egypt Memorial Park’s fifth annual Curt Simmons Day and Festival will be held June 4. This year, the festival planners are including more food vendors and adding new bands to the lineup, including Josef Kroboth Polka, The Lucky 7 band and the Aardvarks.
