The running of the Kentucky Derby will occur May 7, with post time slated for 6:34 p.m. Get together with friends or gather at your favorite local restaurant to watch the race!

The Whitehall Township Public Library will host “Pet Day” 11 a.m.-2 p.m. May 7. All well-behaved pets are welcome to stop by the library with their owners and socialize with others. Please make sure your pet is leashed and up to date with current vaccinations.

There will be local vendors on hand to offer their pet products, too.

Rain date is May 21.
