The 11th National Drug Take Back Day will be 10 a.m.-2 p.m. April 30.

Lehigh County residents can take expired and unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to police departments and other locations in the county.

Medications will be collected at the: South Whitehall Township Police Department, 4444 Walbert Ave., main entrance to the Police Department is at the back of the Municipal Building on the lower level; and Upper Macungie Township Police Department, 37 Grim Road.

County residents can dispose of capsules, pills, including pet medications, and liquids. Syringes or Sharps will not be accepted.

Residents who dispose of medications will remain anonymous. No questions will be asked. DEA personnel will take the drugs to an incinerator to be burned.

Unused drugs may be disposed of in year-round collection boxes in Slatington, 125 S. Walnut St.; South Whitehall, 4444 Walbert Ave., and Upper Macungie, 37 Grim Road.
