Dorothy Valvik, 81, of Bethlehem and formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., died April 18, 2016, at Westminster Village. Born in Manhattan, she was a daughter of the late Anton F. and Mary Rose (LaBarbara) Braut.

She is survived by three children, Laurie and her husband Steve Ronning of Shelton, Conn., and Jeffrey and his wife Janet and Christine and her husband Richard Thomas, all of Bethlehem; a brother, Robert Braut of Staten Island, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her long-time partner, John McLaughlin.
