Joseph J. Fugazzoto

Joseph J. Fugazzotto, 35, of Allentown, died April 11, 2016, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in Allentown, he was a son of Dr. Pasquale J. and Deborah A. (Berner) Fugazzoto of Allentown.

He was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1999. His passion was cooking and he was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y. He also attended culinary classes at the Italian Culinary Institute in Italy. His other passion was organic gardening. He owned and operated his own organic garden “Drop of Sun.”

He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.

He enjoyed four wheeling, traveling, fishing or a good cigar.

He will be truly missed by all but especially by his best friend, his father and his Labrador Retriever, Stella.

He is survived by his parents; maternal grandmother, Florence Berner, of Zionsville; brothers, Michael and his wife Cheri, of Texas, John, of South Carolina, Vincent and his wife Melissa, of New Tripoli, Robert, of Neffs, Jacob and his wife Heather, of Kunkletown, Jared, of Allentown; sisters, Linda and her husband Gerard Storck, of Zionsville, Ann Marie and her husband John Newton, of Zionsville, Catherine and her husband David Spohn, of Trexlertown and Patricia and her husband Antonio Barini, of South Carolina; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Contributions may be made to St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, 18069.

Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
