John D. Murray V, 20, of New Tripoli, died April 12, 2016, in South Whitehall Township, from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Born Jan. 13, 1996, in Columbia, Md., he was the son of John D. Murray IV of Orefield and Andrea L. (Newhart) Murray of Germansville.

A 2013 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, he was a line cook at Bell Hall Restaurant, Allentown.

He was previously employed at the Glasbern Inn, Fogelsville.

He was a Catholic.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter Novalee A. Schaeffer of New Smithville; siblings Matthew J. Murray of Pennsburg, Amanda M. Demkovitz of Germansville; maternal grandparents Steven J. Tremblay of Melbourne, Fla. and Marcele D. (Kostenbader) McMenamin of Clearwater, Fla.; paternal grandparents John D. III and Gale M. (Burris) Murray of Allentown; and paternal great-grandmother Gertrude L. (Folmar) Burris of Lansing, MI.
