Fern M. Schafer, 87, of Allentown, died on April 12, 2016.

She was the devoted wife of the late Ralph “Peppy” Schafer and the daughter of Hilda (Strauss) and Herbert Meyer.

A 1946 graduate of William Allen High School, she worked for the Allentown Credit Bureau.

She was a member of Bethel Bible Fellowship Church, Emmaus.

Her faith in the Lord was of the utmost importance to her and was reflected in the life she lived.

She was loved and cherished by all who knew her. Her kindness, warmth and generosity were a true inspiration.

Her greatest joy was her family and she spent her entire life enjoying her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her extended family and friends were very special to her.

She also had a great sense of humor and loved to have fun.

Her survivors include a daughter Lynn and partner, Christopher Bujak, of Kempton; sons Ronnie, of Fountain Hill, Allen and wife, Michelle, of Mertztown; grandchildren Tiffany Kay, Kristian and Ashley Schafer, Nicholas Bonanni; great-grandchildren Alexander and Noah Schafer; in-laws Janet and Neil Reinhardt, Janet and John Schafer, Carol Leaser, Connie and Robert Schafer, Raymond Schafer, Dolores Meyer; many nieces and nephews; and dear cat, Lady Lydia.
