Dorothy M. Geiger, 79, of Shoemakersville, died April 12, 2016, in Reading Hospital, West Reading.

She was the wife of the late Kermit A. Geiger.

Born Sept. 23, 1936, in Schnecksville, she was the daughter of the late Carl F. and Mary (Todt) Heinly.

A sewing machine operator in various textile mills in Berks County before retiring, she also assisted her late husband in the operation of their family farm.

She was a member of St. John’s (Gernant’s) Church, Leesport.

Her survivors include sons Larry A. and Tammy of Shoemakersville, Richard K. and Lorlene of Kutztown, Robert J. and Yvonne of Schwenksville, Thomas J. and Nona of Shoemakersville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter Beverly A. Savidge, and siblings, Delbert C. and Donald F. Heinly, and Doris M. Koch.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. April 15 in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Frances M. Merkel officiating.

Family and friends may pay their respects 10-11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at Union Church Cemetery, Neffs.
