The George Taylor House (GTH), Lehigh and Poplar streets, has a lot going on in the coming months!

The committee is looking for volunteers, and especially tour guides, for the upcoming season, which kicks off May 1. Contact Emily at 610-628-1015 if you can give some of your time to help. Stay tuned to this column for more news regarding this event and others.

The George Taylor House also would like to welcome Candace Winkler, who has offered to manage the gift shop for the season. Winkler and her husband, Ben, relocated to Catasauqua from Willow, Alaska, and are the owners of Catty Beverage on Race Street.

Also welcomed are Christopher Black, The Bachmann Players and Tom Verenna, who are becoming an integral part of GTH. Chris and company will be a great help in making history come alive through reenactments and educational presentations. Verenna will help with coordinating the Northampton County Associators and Militia and partnering with the Northampton County Militia, who will be headquartered at GTH.
