Richard J. “Rich” Fox, Jr., 56, of Whitehall, died peacefully on March 29, 2016, after a three-year battle with cancer.
He and his wife Donna M. (Tait) Fox were married 27 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Richard J. and Martha (Ballas) Fox.
A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, he coached youth basketball there for many years.
A 1978 graduate of Whitehall High School, he owned the former Dorney Square Miniature Golf, Allentown, was an avid golfer, and worked in construction for many years, most recently for Penn Builders.
He was proud to be a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, and he loved to use his gift of sarcasm with his many friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Zachary T. Fox, a senior at the University of Pittsburgh; sister Terrie Hummel and her husband, David, of Carlisle; step-brothers Thomas and Stephen Mazzeo; and his extended family.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. April 9 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 618 Fullerton Ave. Whitehall.
Follow detour signs for Fullerton Ave South when exiting Route 22. Then turn left onto Pershing Boulevard.
Calling hours begin 9:30 a.m. in the church foyer.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Whitehall.
