Hokendauqua: Girl Scout dinner, bake sale planned

Join Girl Scout Troop 6998 for a barbecue chicken dinner and bake sale 4-7 p.m. April 9 in Parker Hall at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3355 MacArthur Road.

Eat-in or take-out meals are available. For the cost, call the church at 610-435-0451.

All money raised will help the Girl Scouts with the end-of-the-year trip and activities.

On April 10, there will be a benefit breakfast hosted by Sons of the American Legion and Hokendauqua Park & Playground Association at Jones-Quigg Post 739 American Legion, 3739 American Legion Drive. The breakfast will take place from 7 a.m. to noon.

The Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile also will be on site 8 a.m.-noon.

At 7 p.m. April 29, students in grades 1-8 will perform “Annie” at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Ticket costs will be available in the next couple of weeks.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church is looking for boys and girls at least 15 years old to play softball. All games are played 6 p.m. Sundays May through July, with a tournament in August.

On May 16, there will be a Miller-Keystone blood drive at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

As a reminder, Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church is selling tickets for a Night at the IronPigs 6:35 p.m. June 18. The group will sit in the Hot Corner.

You will order your own food and drinks from the menu, and it will be delivered to your seat.
