Students and staff were evacuated from the Jewish Day School, South Whitehall Township, around 9 a.m. March 22 after a possible gas odor alerted staff.
South Whitehall Township Fire Marshal John Frantz said firefighters from Woodlawn and Greenawalds fire departments along with South Whitehall Township police and UGI did not detect any odor of gas inside or outside the school.
There were no reports of injuries, Frantz said, adding the school was determined to be safe around 9:33 a.m.
Volunteer firefighters from Cetronia and Western Salisbury fire departments and personnel from Cetronia Ambulance Corps assisted at the scene.
