Esperanza A. Garcia, 84, of Allentown, formerly of Dix Hills, N.Y., died peacefully March 31, 2016.

The wife of Roberto J. Garcia for 49 years at the time of his death in 2003, she was born in Ecuador to the late Melquiades and Cristina (Lozano) Salazar.

She dedicated her life to caring for all of her loving family.

Her survivors include sons Agustin M. and his wife, Kathleen, of Whitehall, Robert M. of Dix Hills; daughter Celia C. Stenske and her husband, Reiner, of Allentown; grandchildren Daniel, Gregory, Sarah and Mark; and three great-grandsons.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter Cristina Garcia in 2002 and her brother Enrique Salazar.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. April 8 in St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Wargo as celebrant.

Her viewing will be 10-10:45 a.m. in the church.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown.
