Harry G. Gouldner

Harry G. Gouldner, 87, of Topton, formerly of Alburtis, died April 3, 2016, in The Lutheran Home at Topton, where he was a resident since February 2011. He was the husband of the late Verna H. (Bower) Gouldner who died April 10, 2007. Born in Lower Macungie Township, he was a son of the late George L. and Hattie M. (Derr) Gouldner.

He was a member of Longswamp United Church of Christ, Mertztown.

He was a United States Army veteran, who honorably and faithfully served his country in the Korean War.

He was employed as an auto mechanic at Delabar, Inc., Emmaus and Frey’s Service Station, Allentown, until his retirement in 1994.

He was a lifetime member of Breinigsville V.F.W. Post 8282.

He was an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed working on and taking care of cars.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna L and her husband William G. Fenstermacher, Jr., of Mertztown; sisters, Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Hemphill, of Alburtis, and Ruth, wife of the late Wesley Holland, of Fleetwood; two grandchildren, Joshua L. Bogert and Jenna L. and her husband KJ Fry; one great-granddaughter, Fiona E. Fry. He was predeceased by siblings, Grace Arndt, Roy and Howard.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. April 7 in the Ludwick Funeral Homes, Inc., 25 E. Weis St., Topton. Relatives and friends may call 10 to 11 a.m. April 7 in the funeral home.
