Gene Dickison’s 25 years on radio

More than Money with Gene Dickison marked 25 years of broadcasting live financial radio shows on March 26. It is considered to be the longest running financial radio show currently airing.

He additionally shares his love of God, America, family and friends, and also hisconservative political and personal approaches to both the financial world and his view of America.

He noted that both radio and the financial advisory profession have changed significantly in the past twenty-five years. The original local call-in format, now airing on Saturdays from 8 to 10 a.m. on WAEB AM790, has expanded nationally due to the use of email, texting, or visits to the web site, www.MorethanMoneyOnline.com.

Local woman presents paper

Megan Buehler, of Bethlehem, a Grove City College sociology and psychology double major, presented a paper on “Gender, Religiosity and Attitudes Toward Sexualization of Women the Media” recently at the third annual Northeastern Ohio undergraduate sociology symposium, Kent State University.

Local student in dance benefit

Matthew Kantner, of Bethlehem, was, on March 13, among 250 participants in a 12 hour UDance to benefit the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation for childhood cancer.

Students raised a total of $1,701,667.81, for the Wilmington, Del., facility.
