Lee R. Snyder, 82, of New Tripoli, died March 23, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of Carol I. (Hartman) Metzger Snyder.

Born Feb. 17, 1934, in Allentown, he was the son of the late Raymond C. and Elma I. (Handwerk) Snyder.

He was a lifelong potato farmer in the New Tripoli area before retiring.

A member of the United Church of Christ congregation of Heidelberg Union Church, Heidelberg Township, he formerly served on the consistory.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Lisa C. Snyder of Wescosville, Julie A. Seyfried and her husband, Robert, of New Tripoli; stepson Steven C. Metzger and his wife, Patricia, of New Tripoli; eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Robert L. Snyder who died in 1969.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. on March 31 at Heidelberg Union Cemetery, with Pastor Karen A. Yonney officiating.

There will be no calling hours.
