Eva R. Romano, 71, of Lower Macungie Township, died peacefully March 26, 2016, in her home, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Vincent S. Romano. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Born in Mecklenberg, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Jaan and Edith O. (Bergmann) Rander.
She worked as a secretary for both Western Electric and Penn Treaty and in the accounting department at Northampton Community College.
She was an active member of Calvary Moravian Church, Allentown.
She was an avid reader and a member of the Lower Macungie Book Club. She loved taking her grandsons on various adventures each summer.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Karin, of Pittsburgh and her son Ryan, Elizabeth and her husband Alex Boyko, of Round Hill, Va., and their sons, Elliot, Dylan and Tyler; brother, John Rander; sisters, Maarja Latshaw, Ruth DeRosa and Esther Pivarnik.
Contributions may be made to the church.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. April 1 at Calvary Moravian Church, 948 N. 21st St., Allentown, 18104. Call 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. April 1 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
