Kathleen “Kathy” J. Newhart, 68, of Freemansburg, died March 20, 2016, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late O. Janet (Duc) Hahn, and was raised by her aunt, Mary Swartz.

She was a 1955 graduate of Liberty High School.

She was an accounts payable clerk for Bethlehem Steel for many years. She later worked at Specialty Minerals, Bethlehem.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Jesse S. Mason and Ashley K. Newhart, with whom she resided, and her children, William H. Newhart Jr., Jody A. Dollak, John E. Newhart Sr., Barry L. Newhart Sr. and Jamie L. Newhart Sr.; four brothers, Garry, Terry, Dennis and Craig Hahn; a sister, Tracey Kent; and 16 additional grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Kerri Newhart James.

Arrangements were made by Long Funeral Home Inc., Bethlehem.
