John Tobin, of Bethlehem died March 18, 2016. Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late John N. and Ann F. (Boyle) Tobin. He was the husband of Dawn (Keeler) Tobin for 32 years.
He was a 1977 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree in community development from Penn State. He studied for the deaconate.
He was in sales at various companies until he retired.
He was a member of St. Anne’s Church, where he was an Eucharist minister and, with his wife, hosted the church wedding anniversary Mass for the past ten years. Prior to that, he taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) classes at Holy Ghost Church.
He was a past financial secretary of Knights of Columbus, St. Anne’s Council, and a past president of the Serra Club of Bethlehem.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael of Bethlehem; and two brothers, Hugh and his wife Deborah and Matthew, all of Bethlehem.
