Irene Valentine, 100, of Bethlehem, died March 14, 2016. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Barbara (Omotar) Slebiss, and a step-daughter of the late Anne Slebiss. She was the wife of the late Marion Valentine.
She worked for the former Schobel Brothers Tie Factory, Bethlehem.
She was a former parishioner of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church.
She was a member of the First Windish Fraternal Society and a lifetime member of the Hungarian Catholic Club.
She is survived by a daughter Rosemarie Gatti; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
All were in attendance for a 100th birthday celebration in October, during which she was presented with recogntions from both the President of the United States and Pope Francis.
She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Flandorffer; a daughter, Eleanor and her husband Cardy Gemma; and a grandson, Michael Gatti.
