CAMP RHYTHMO Musical theatre workshop announced

Children in grades one through eight who are interested in performing in a musical are invited to register for Camp Rhythmo’s after-school workshop.

Sessions will meet Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays April 12 to April 29 to rehearse for the musical “Annie.” Registration is due April 1.

Each session will meet 4 to 6 p.m. and the final performance will be presented 7 p.m. April 29.

The workshop and performance will be held at Parker Hall, 3355 MacArthur Road, Whitehall.

Camp Rhythmo’s programs use music, movement, art and science to encourage children to make healthy choices. It has offered programs in the Lehigh Valley for the past three years and staged “101 Dalmatians” with a cast of 30 in 2015.

Camp Rhythmo also will offer three summer camps in the Lehigh Valley: a one-week workshop July 18 to 22 to stage “Aladdin”; a two-week Camp Rhythmo day program Aug. 1 to 12; and “Dancing Through the Fairy Tales” Aug. 1 to 5, for children ages 3-5.

Those registering for both “Aladdin” and the Camp Rhythmo day program will receive a discount.
