Chicken potpie on menu at Heidelberg Union Church

Spread the word! Heidelberg Union Church is having a family style chicken potpie dinner” March 12 in fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend.

Limited seating times are 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

In addition to scrumptious chicken potpie, the meal includes creamed cabbage, applesauce, homemade bread, beverage and desserts.

Public is invited! Ontelaunee Rod and Gun Club, New Tripoli, will have its annual Spring Sportsmen’s Raffle and Block Shoot March 20.

This event is one of Ontelaunee’s best known traditions and offers free beverages and snacks noon-6 p.m.

This event is open to the public so non-members may attend.

In addition to the block shoots, there will also be numerous raffles.

Heat and eat! Germansville Fire Company is selling its famous potato filling and bacon dressing just in time for Easter.

Place orders by March 21 by calling Elaine or Harold Hoppes at 610-767-4400.

Orders are sold by the pound and serve approximately two people.

Bring your filling containers 9 a.m.-1 p.m. March 26 to the upstairs kitchen of the fire company.

Talk of the town! Germansville Fire Company is looking for volunteers who are connected to public relations, marketing and finance, as well as persons with new ideas on methods used to acquire much needed funding for the fire company.

Physical support of all kinds is needed in the fire company’s kitchens during the filling and shoofly pie fundraisers, at banquets with bartending, serving food, setting up tables and chairs, clean-up, etc.

At this time, the fire company is having a membership drive.

As with your dues, donations toward the fire company itself may be sent to Goodwill Fire Co., P.O. Box 69, Germansville, PA 18053.

Any resident, who has not received a membership form by mail, should call Paul McAdams at 610-721-6505.

You may also contact the fire company at 610-767-7757 and leave your name and phone number and someone will get back to you.

Keep in mind, the fire company’s facilities are available to rent and may be reserved by calling Doris Koenig at 610-767-3778.
