Northampton: Play some games at the library
Game day is planned for 9 a.m.-noon March 12 at Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave. Play some of the library’s board games or bring your own.
This year for Teen Tech Week, the library will hold robot racing. This program, set for 1 p.m. March 12, is open to all teens. No registration is required.
The library will hold its monthly free blood pressure screening 10 a.m.-noon March 14.

A reminder that Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will host a crab cake or chicken finger dinner 5-7 p.m. March 11. The dinner will be served in the fellowship hall.
The menu features crab cakes or chicken fingers, a baked potato, cole slaw, roll, dessert and beverages (lemonade, coffee and tea). Takeout is available.
Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.

Mayor Thomas D. Reenock has proclaimed March 14 as Meals on Wheels Day in the borough.
Reenock will join other government officials in participating in the Meals on Wheels of Northampton County’s 14th annual March for Meals, held March 14-18.
Reenock will deliver meals to the homebound senior citizens in the borough on March 14.

St. John’s Friendly Fifties will meet 1 p.m. March 14 in the social hall at St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church, 1343 Newport Ave.
Singers Karen Foster and Robert Fahringer will entertain.
If Northampton schools are closed or delayed, the meeting is canceled.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4714 will be hosting a spring hop 7-10:30 p.m. March 19.
There is a cost.
Tickets are available at the post, Main Street and Laubach Avenue, after 4 p.m. daily and at the door the night of the event.
