Julia Becker, Gold Star mother

Julia Becker, 93, of Bethlehem, died March 3, 2016. Born in Ralph, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Kotarba) Czech. She was the wife of the late Alexander J. Becker for 52 years.

She was an American Gold Star mother.

She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She is survived by a son, Mike and his wife Sandy of Bethlehem; a daughter, Diane Pierce of Hamburg; eight grandchildren, Jay Becker, Chris Becker, Amy Carr, Kelly Poveromo, Mike Becker Jr., Tom Pierce, Jim Pierce and Jamie Pierce; and six great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two sons, John Becker and Army Spec. 4th Class Thomas A. Becker, who died during the Vietnam War; three sisters, Josephine Milush, Agnes and Mary Czech; and six brothers, John, Frank, Edward, Charles, Walter and William Czech.
