Marios G. Nisiotis

Marios G. Nisiotis, 81, of Macungie, died Feb. 26, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of the late Antigoni Nisiotis who died in 2014. They were married 48 years. Born in Filia, Mytilene, Greece, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Katsoulerou) Georgiadis.

He was a self-employed restaurant owner of the Apple Dumpling, Boyertown, and also worked as a plumber, baker and shoemaker after arriving in the United States in 1969.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, Bethlehem.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He is survived by a son George and his wife Lori, of Macungie; daughter, Eva and her husband Alex Vardaxis, of Barto; brother Kostas in Greece; grandchildren, Alexa, Gabriana, Ourania, Angelos, Marios and Ignatios. He was predeceased by a sister, Aphroditi and brother, Miltiadis.

A viewing will be held 6 to 8 p.m. March 2 at the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. March 3 at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem with another viewing 10 to 11 a.m.
