Betty H. Dougherty, 91, of Macungie, died Feb. 21, 2016, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Salisbury Township. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 52 years, Francis C. Dougherty. Born in Aquashicola, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Neola (Kunkle) Heiney.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

She is survived by a daughter, Ann E.; sisters, Anna Taschler and Diane Batko.

Contributions may be made to the church or charity of one’s choice.

A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m. March 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. A calling period will be 1 to 1:30 p.m. March 5 in the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
