Lillian M. George, 84, of Whitehall, died Feb. 19, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospice.

She and her husband Robert J. George Jr. were married for 65 years.

Born in Wyoming, Luzerne County, she was the daughter of the late John and Christine (Eckart) Dwyer.

A 1949 graduate of West Pittston High School, she worked in customer service at F.W. Woolworth, in the Whitehall Mall, and was co-owner of Bob’s Lehigh Valley American Bus Company for 20 years.

She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She enjoyed watching the Phillies, and rooting for her Whitehall Zephyrs.

In addition to her loving husband, she is survived by sons Robert III and wife, Agnes (Hudak), of South Whitehall; David and wife, Nadine (Kannuck), of Schnecksville; Ronald and wife, Lisa (Adams), of Whitehall; Kevin and wife, Sherry (Wright), of Northampton; grandchildren Jessica Cruz and husband Fred; Lauren Hnat and husband Bill; Kristy George; Colleen Kravelick and husband Andrew, Sean and Kyle George; great-grandchildren Brayden, Kaylin, Chase, Billy, and Bobby; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by six siblings.
