Local Girl Scouts recently celebrated World Learning Day at Asbury United Methodist Church, South Whitehall.
World Learning Day, celebrated Feb. 22 or the nearest Saturday honors the accomplishment of women throughout history.
Women of note at the celebration included Marie Curie, Amelia Earhart, Florence Nightingale, Julia Childs and others.
