Dennis J. Guth, 68, of Allentown, died Feb. 29, 2016, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.

He and his wife Jo Anne (Riddell) Guth celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary in February.

Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Russell N. and Mae M. (Miller) Guth.

He was a line mechanic for Mack Trucks for 31 years and worked with his father at R.N. Guth Garage for many years.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trexlertown.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on a submarine tender in Scotland from 1967-69.

An avid snowmobiler he spent many years at his cabin in the Adirondack Mountains.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian J.; niece Amy Smolick-Caley; and great-nieces Reese and Brenna.

His memorial service will be 10 a.m. March 4 at St. Paul’s UCC, 1249 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown.

A calling hour will begin 9 a.m. in the church.
