Coplay: Explorer post meets Thursdays
Christmas may be over, but the fascination of model trains is still alive and well. At 7:30 p.m. each Thursday evening, the scout-sponsored model railroad enthusiasts get together on the second floor at the borough municipal building, 98 S. Fourth St., to work on layouts and model trains.
The public is invited to participate.

An aerobics class will take place in the borough hall gymnasium 8:45 a.m. Saturdays and 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays.
There is no registration fee for this popular program.

Coplay Lions Club will meet 7:15 p.m. March 7 at Coplay Saengerbund, 205 S. Fifth St.
The club welcomes individuals looking to become members.

Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association’s food pantry will have its doors open to borough families and individuals 8:30-10 a.m. March 8 in its basement room at borough hall.
There is no red tape or paperwork to fill out to be eligible for the once-a-month food stipend.
Recipients will be at the pantry for a second time this month to receive a bag filled with a ham and all the goodies for an Easter dinner.
The food pantry accepts food and monetary donations to help borough residents.
Additionally, the association will meet 6:30 p.m. March 9 at borough council chambers.
Final plans for the association’s community egg hunt, scheduled for 1 p.m. March 26, will be discussed. Roger Rabbit will be at the egg hunt, held on the grounds at St. Peter’s church, Fifth Street.

Mark your calendar for the Ironton Rail-Trail historical walk beginning 9 a.m. March 19.
Open to the public, the walk starts at the Whitehall Township Parkway barn on Chestnut Street, west of MacArthur Road.

A reminder that Coplay Public Library, 49 S. Fifth St., holds an adult coloring program noon-3 p.m. Saturdays. The fun-filled program allows grownups to display their creativity.
The library supplies the materials.
