Mary Haldeman died Feb.17, 2016, at Kirkland Village. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Mays) Horst. She was the wife of the late Robert C. Haldeman.
She was a 1942 graduate of LaVerne College, Calif.
She taught elementary school.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Bethlehem. At her request, she was received into the Roman Catholic Church through Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St. Peter shortly before her passing.
She played violin in the Knoxville and Bucks County symphonies.
She is survived by a daughter, Sue and her husband Eric Bergman; five grandchildren, Christine and her husband Robert Duryea, Eric and his wife Kristina Bergman, Rebecca and her husband Philip Huffman, David and his wife Jane Bergman and Sarah Kaczor; 35 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Joan Haldeman; nieces; and nephews.
She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Jacob; and a sister, Kathryn McClure.
