LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Article By: The Press

Grade: 12

Family members: My family members include my mom, Sharon, my dad, James, and my sister Sarah.

Favorite subject: My favorite subjects include math, English and design technology. I enjoy math and design tech because they are helping me prepare to be an architect some day. I like English because I enjoy different types of literature and writing.

Activities: Some activities I take part in are Technology Student Association and the HS Ski Club.

Next steps: After high school I want to go to college to study architecture. I would also like to join the Air Force ROTC while in college.

Career goals: Someday, I would like to be an architect and work in a big city like Boston or New York City. I may even want to own my own firm.

Heroes: One of my heroes is Frank Lloyd Wright because he defied all odds when designing his homes and showed the world that his style of architecture will make a lasting impression on the world. Another one of my heroes is Robin Williams because with everything he did, he did it with a smile. Williams was a character that everyone could relate to. For me, his movies showed me his characters could do anything and everything with a smile on his face.

Hobbies: My hobbies include skiing, model making and playing backyard baseball with some of my friends.

Current job(s): I currently work part-time at Jenny’s Kuali in southside Bethlehem as a waiter. I have worked there since June 2014.

Volunteer/community work: I do a lot of volunteer work at my school. Some of my recent projects include acting as camp counselor for the seventh grade camping trip and help run and organize my school’s Technology Student Association chapter.

Likes: I really like the movie The Shawshank Redemption, and I like a lot of different types of music, including Coldplay, Supertramp and Traffic. I also like architecture, the beach and hanging out with my friends.

Dislikes: Some things I don’t enjoy include writing computer code, biology and Beverly Hills Cop II and III.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): One of my greatest accomplishments so far includes taking eighth place in the Architectural Renovation event at the 2015 National TSA Conference in Dallas. One of my other greatest accomplishments was when I was elected chairperson of the Pennsylvania Alateen Conference, known as NOMAC.

Advice for peers: Some of the best advice I can give is to follow your heart, no matter what. In the end, it is always important to follow your dreams; otherwise, you may regret it for the rest of your life.
