State Police Troop M Fogelsville allege James Daley, 27, of Hershey, was driving under the influence of a controlled substance 8:04 p.m. Feb. 5 on I-78 East, Upper Macungie Township.
Police say Daley allegedly had a small amount of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
He was taken into custody and charges were filed with District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township.
State Police Troop M Bethlehem say Stacey Barrett, 50, of Whitehall, was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer 6:46 p.m. on Feb. 15 on Route 309, North Whitehall Township when it collided with a 2009 Subaru Forester driven by Murray D. Oliphant, 73, of Allentown.
According to police, Barrett was northbound on Route 309 when the Explorer began to lose traction on the snow-covered roadway and traveled into the southbound lane where it was struck by the Subaru, police say.
Police say after the initial point of impact the Explorer was pushed approximately 20 feet by the Subaru onto the far shoulder of the southbound lane before coming to a final rest facing north.
The Subaru traveled approximately 20 feet before coming to a final rest against the Explorer facing south.
The Explorer sustained passenger-side damage.
The Subaru sustained heavy front-end damage, police say.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by First Choice Towing.
Oliphant, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported by Northern Valley Emergency Services to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for minor injures.
Barrett, who was also wearing her seat belt, was uninjured.
She was issued a citation for a traffic violation, police say.
Tri-Clover Fire Department provided traffic control and assistance at the scene.
