Helen Elaine (Ramsey) Strauss, 78, of Fellowship Community, Whitehall, died Feb. 17, 2016, in her residence. She was the wife of Dr. Robert D. Strauss. They celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary July, 2015. Born in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Samuel H. and Helen (Gabardi) Ramsey.

She was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School, where she was a member of the “Ten Top Teens.” She also attended Cedar Crest College.

She was the office manager of E-N-T Associates of the L.V. from 1971 to 1999. Previously, she was a private secretary for the vice president of Bell Telephone in Philadelphia for 10 years.

She was active with the Salisbury PTA, started the Women’s Bridge Club in Allentown and volunteered with Meals-On-Wheels and the Soup Kitchen.

She was a member of Western Salisbury U.C.C.

She is survived by her husband; sons, Dr. Robert A. and his wife Dr. Mary Jannelli, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Atty. Eric R. and his wife Claudia Bayona, of Barto, Dr. Kevin A., of Strasburg; daughter, Megan E. and her husband David A. Hallman, of Coopersburg; 13 grandchildren; brothers, Samuel Ramsey and his wife Susan, of Snoqualmie, Wash., Hayes Ramsey and his wife Sherry, of Hilltown; daughter-in-law, Ann, of Lancaster County. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Gabriella.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27 in the Zentz Community Center in the Villa at Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Dr., Whitehall. Call 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 26 and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Feb. 27, all in the Zentz Community Center. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Allentown.
