Egypt: Dine in, take out; here’s the beef

Egypt Community Church is hosting a roast beef dinner 4:30-6:30 p.m. Feb. 27. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the church’s missions ministries.

Take-out meals will be available for purchase. Children ages 4 and under eat free.

In case of inclement weather, the dinner will be postponed until March 5.

The church is located at 4129 S. Church St., Whitehall. Call 610-262-4961 for ticket information.

Egypt Fire Company will host a spaghetti dinner 5-8 p.m. March 11.

The public is invited to attend and purchase meals to support the fire company’s volunteer work in the community.

Meal tickets are available for purchase at the door.

Mark your calendars. Egypt Memorial Park’s Fifth Annual Curt Simmons Day and Festival will be held June 4.

This year, the festival planners are expanding the food variety to include more vendors. They also are adding new bands to the lineup to include Josef Kroboth Polka, The Lucky 7 band and the Aardvarks.

The park is currently looking for individuals or businesses to sponsor the festival. Call the park at 610-262-9841. Sponsor names or business will be displayed on banners throughout the park during the festival and all year long.

Egypt Community Church is planning a bus trip to the Sight & Sound production of “Samson.” The public is invited to purchase tickets and attend.

The trip is planned for May 7. The cost of the ticket includes payment for the show, bus travel and a tip for the bus driver. A deposit is required at the time of sign-up, with the balance due by the end of March.
