Edward J. Hillanbrand, 77, of Jim Thorpe, died Feb. 2, 2016, in Gracedale Nursing Home.
The loving husband of Helen A. (Moss) Hillanbrand, they celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in September 2015.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Francis and Helen (McLaughlin) Hillanbrand.
Superintendent of Allentown Diocese Cemeteries for 40 years before retiring in 2007, he was a member of the National Catholic Cemetery Conference.
He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Church, Allentown, where he was a former usher, and St. Joseph Church, Jim Thorpe.
He was a member of Knights of Columbus 528, Allentown, and then Knights of Columbus 10772, Lake Harmony.
He was a former coach at SPYA and with the CYO.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Margaret A. Geist and her husband, Bryan, of Allentown; sons Larry E. and his wife, Michele, of Allentown, Patrick F. and his wife, Amy, of Lehighton, Brian J. and his wife, Laurie, of Allentown; sister Dolores Willis of New Jersey; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by 10 brothers and four sisters.
