LEHIGH VALLEY WEATHER

Article By: The Press

Grade: 12

Family: Mom, Tara Northington; twin sister, Jayla Northington; older brother, Nathaniel Northington; dad, Nate Northington

Favorite subject: My favorite subject is U.S. history. I love learning everything that we have gone through as a country to get to where we are right now. I always feel like you have to know about the mistakes you make so that you don’t make the same mistakes.

Activities: I run track for Freedom HS and AAU track for Mt. Airy out of Philadelphia.

Next steps: After high school I want to go to college and run track at the next level. I want to graduate and make my mom proud of me.

Career goals: I want to become a web designer and have my own web design company.

Heroes: My mom is my hero because she has done so much for me and my sister as a single mom. She has bent over backward so that I can have the things I want and go places while she sits at home bored because my sister and I have the car. She is my biggest supporter and my number 1 fan. She has done such a great job raising me and I couldn’t ask for a better hero/role model.

Hobbies: I love to hang out with friends. I just love to be around people and I love meeting new people. I love to run; I love playing video games too.

Current job(s): I currently work at Little Caesar’s.

Volunteer/community work: I volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club helping the kids out and cleaning the place sometimes. I’m going back to my old middle school (Broughal MS) to talk to the eighth graders about high school and not to be scared and give them a little advice.

Likes: I love to make people laugh and make people feel good. I love music and I’m obsessed with movies; you name a movie and I’ve most likely seen it. I love my family. I love sneakers; I have like 35 pairs of shoes. I love burgers and pizza.

Dislikes: There’s really nothing I dislike. I try to find room in my heart to love everything and everyone.

Greatest accomplishment (so far): I was the fourth top runner in AAU track last season.

Advice for peers: Keep working hard because dreams do come true. Just stay out of trouble, keep your grades up and you will have a bright future.
