Northampton: Grace UCC plans Lenten dinners

Grace United Church of Christ, 902 Lincoln Ave., will be hosting a crab cake or chicken finger dinner 5-7 p.m. Feb. 19 and 26 and March 4 and 11 for the Lenten season. The dinner will be served in fellowship hall.

The menu features crab cakes or chicken fingers, a baked potato, cole slaw, roll, dessert and beverages (lemonade, coffee and tea). Takeout is available.

Come out and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship.

Alliance Fire Company, 717 Washington Ave., will hold an all-you-can-eat pork and sauerkraut dinner 4-7 p.m. Feb. 20.

A mini basket social also will be held.

Queenship of Mary Church’s young adult committee will be hosting a designer purse bingo Feb. 21 in the social hall, 1324 Newport Ave. Doors open 12:30, and games start 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are limited.

There also will be food, a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle.

Quota Club of Northampton will hold a PJ Whelihan’s Pub fundraiser from 11 a.m. Feb. 25 to 2 a.m. Feb. 26.

Dine in or take out at the Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem, location. Just tell your waiter or bartender you’re supporting the Quota fundraiser.

The Friends of Northampton Area Public Library group is seeking monetary donations for sponsors for its Vera Bradley bingo, to be held April 3. Organizers also are looking for a few items for the Chinese auction section.

If interested, drop off your donation at the library or mail it to Friends of NAPL, Northampton Area Public Library, 1615 Laubach Ave., Northampton, 18067.

There are a few seats left for the library’s bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show March 11. This year’s theme is National Parks.

Additionally, Northampton Area Public Library is currently looking for adult volunteers to monitor the teen lounge, which runs every Monday through Thursday after school, 2:30-5 p.m.

Holy Trinity Nursery School, 1235 Main St., is currently registering children for the 2016-2017 school year.

The 2-year-old playgroup class meets 9:30-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Class size is limited to 12 children, who do not need to be toilet trained for the class.

The 3-year-old class meets 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for the class.

The 4-year-old class meets 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Class size is limited to 16 children, who need to be toilet trained for the class.

Children must turn the appropriate age for the class by Sept. 1, 2016.

There is a registration fee and a monthly tuition cost.

Northampton Banquet & Events Center hosts bingo every Monday night. Doors open 5:30 p.m., and games begin 7 p.m.

The kitchen is open. Proceeds benefit the center.
